About auzure
is the result of years of hard work by two farming brothers Bob and Pete Mac Smith. In the early 1990’s, the fifth generation Orange-district farmers had a vision to value add to the crops they grew on their property near the picturesque village of Cudal in Central Western NSW.
They built a small oilseed crushing plant on the family farm and spent the next 14 years developing their processes, building valuable relationships with farmers and growing a sustainable leading Australian agri-business. In 2007, the brothers moved the business to nearby Manildra to capitalise on transport links and streamlined logistics capabilities.
The farming brothers are now Directors of MSM Milling in Manildra – which is a large supplier of oils to Australian and international food manufacturers, distributors and food service companies. The company behind auzure has experience, knowledge, expertise and loyal customers.
Bob and Pete Mac Smith are trusted leaders in the Australian oilseeds sector. Their foresight, dedication and continual value adding is second to none. They focus the business on food safety, superior quality, value, customer service and innovation.
The brothers control the whole supply chain from the growers through to pressing and packaging, right through to distribution to consumers. Our Story
Our story starts with canola seeds and the growers who plant and nurture those seeds through all the growth stages – from tiny plants through to the gorgeous yellow carpet of canola flowers and pod development, onto windrowing and harvest and finally delivery to our Manildra plant. Our growers are an integral part of our story – as without them, there’d be no auzure.

The company’s success is celebrated globally, with MSM Milling the proud recipient of numerous accolades over the years.
In 2011 the company was awarded the Premier’s NSW Exporter to Asia Award, while in 2009 it took out the Premier’s NSW Regional Exporter Award.
MSM has also been a finalist in the Australian Export Awards.
The Mac Smith brothers were finalists in two sections of the 2016 AustCham Westpac Australia-China Business Awards – The Business Excellence Award for Agriculture, Food and Beverage and the Business Excellence Award for Sustainability and Social Impact.

MSM Milling was Highly Commended in the Agribusiness, Food and Beverages category of the 2019 NSW Premier’s Export Awards.
Sydney Royal Fine Food Show Silver Medal
MSM Milling’s auzure Canola Oil won a Sydney Royal Fine Food Show Silver Medal in 2019. Judges noted auzure boasted “a clean finish on the palate.” More than 1,900 exhibits were judged across nine sections of the Show.

Our operation in regional NSW has independent Non-GM certification from SGS ICS France.

What does that mean for you?
We can guarantee you that auzure is free from genetically modified canola. We know this is important to some consumers so we only accept and press Non-GM canola seeds, which of course only contain Non-GM canola oil.
Expeller Pressed
Our Non-GM canola seeds grown by hundreds of NSW farmers are carefully pressed without the use of chemicals, to extract every last drop of canola oil. This process is known as expeller pressing. It differs vastly from the common practice of using chemical or solvent extraction to take oil from canola seed.
Most Australian and global canola oil is produced by solvent extraction. Instead of using chemicals to extract oil, we press the seeds to squeeze the oil out. The result is beautiful auzure – a clean pressed oil made without chemical solvents.
Full Traceability
auzure is pressed and packaged in a family owned plant in regional NSW that has full traceability and control over quality.
We are different in that we control and oversee the entire process, from the receival of Non-GM seeds on site, through the presses, into bottles ready for you to use.
